Erik Jones

Assistant Program Director

Erik has worked for Boise State Public Radio in many capacities for over 15 years and has the great pleasure to bring radio broadcasts to listeners throughout southwest Idaho.

When not managing student employees or working on the weekly program Reader's Corner, he can be found editing audio and scheduling on-air messaging, planning the next on-air fundraiser or hosting mid-day programming on KBSX.

Erik received his bachelor’s degree in Geosciences at Boise State University in 2005.  In addition to being the proud father of two vivacious daughters, he's an avid cyclist, gardener and DIYer extraordinaire.  He cherishes his vast experiences playing and coaching lacrosse and has dreams of traveling to many new destinations.

A special one-hour documentary about the history of KBSU, more than 40 years in the making! We spoke with the founders and many who are still involved about the impact of the student-run, community station on the Treasure Valley community and created a music-inspired retrospective.

Madeline Kenney released the EP  'Signals' in 2016 and the full-length 'Night Night at the First Landing' in fall of 2017 on Company Records.
