Huge Pliosaur skull unearthed on England's 'Jurassic Coast'

LEILA FADEL, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Leila Fadel.

Pliosaurs roamed Earth's oceans around 150 million years ago. A scientist spotted the skull of one during a walk on England's Jurassic Coast. He spent months trying to extract it, and, boy, was it worth it. The 6 1/2-foot-long Pliosaur skull was recently recovered largely intact, complete with 130 teeth. Scientists say the T. rex of the sea could kill a human in one bite. And you thought sharks were scary.
