Shania Martinez, Soprano "Love is in the Air"
Winner of the 2021 Young Artist Competition, Ms. Martinez is hailed by the Washington Post for her “piercing, muscular soprano.” She made a mark on stage in some of opera’s most challenging roles such as Violetta (La Traviata), Susannah (Susannah), and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and Cio Cio San (Madama Butterfly). She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music.
Her Love is in the Air program features some of the most beloved opera and art songs, centered around the theme of love.
