Wet Felted Painting Class

Wet Felted Painting Class

2-day Workshop - Saturday & Sunday, August 20-21 - 1:00pm - 5:00pm

This unique wool painting class teaches you how to use beautiful merino wool tops and batts, silk, bamboo and rose specialty fibers to create a felted painting using wet and dry felting techniques.

We'll spend the first day felting, and on the second day we will complete the picture with embroidery. You will learn the basics of this amazing art form and will have the knowledge to continue developing your skill. This medium lends itself to a wide range of subject matter from free-flowing abstracts to impressionism and more.

Jan Bittenbender from McCall will be your guide through this unique process.

All supplies are included.
Optional items to bring with you:
- Large beach/bath towel
- Your favorite fabric scissors (we will also have some to borrow)
- Layered clothing, as the temperatures may be difficult to manage in the building
- Water/beverage with lid

If a minimum of 8 participants is not reached, the class may be rescheduled. Open to ages 18+.

Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund. If you would like to make classes available to others, see our sponsorships page to contribute a monthly or one-time donation. Thank you for supporting (y)our commUNITY!
