Join Zoo Boise for an afterhours zoo experience designed for individuals with disabilities (plus families and friends)! Stations are focused on sensory input and will include guided zoo exploration time, up close animal encounters, self-guided animal artifact exploration, and art activities. $8 per person
EVERY SECOND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH!If you've just started learning an instrument, you're a pro, or just a pro listener come on down to this humdinger of a good time! Adam Straubinger will be leading this open to all good time jam session for anyone who would like to join in or just stomp along to the beat.

We are open Wednesday - Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and weekends without tournaments. We offer Ladder chess games and introductory lessons. Our club and Ladder games include Classical Chess, Fischer Random (chess 960), 3D +960, Quadra Chess +960, Bughouse +960, Xiang Qi, and Go. The Annual Ladder offers the following prizes at the end of each calendar year: 1st in: Classical, Fishcer Random, 3D, 3D +960, Quadra, Quadra +960, Bughouse, Bughouse +960, Xiang Qi, and Go will receive a free entry into any weekend Invitational tournament. There is an overall prize of one entry into a USCF or FIDE Open Swiss tournament. Value $25 - $100 depending on the tournament. In addition we offer scholastic team events.
Impact of Exchange: Stories from U.S. Exchange Alumni is a traveling, open-air photography exhibit that combines public art with storytelling. The exhibit is funded by the Office of Alumni Affairs and is implemented by Global Ties U.S. in collaboration with Photoville and Global Ties Idaho. By highlighting the photographs and stories of U.S. citizen Exchange Alumni, this exhibit aims to inspire audiences to become future exchange participants. The exhibit is taking place in only a few cities across the United States and we are proud that Boise was chosen as one of the host cities. Visit the exhibit at your own time to find out more about how YOU can participate in US Exchange programs and travel the world!

Bring your bike and your family and enjoy a free day at the museum while learning about bike safety and your health. Children participating in the bike rodeo learn about safety while riding through a fun course. Then the Health Fair will provide free hearing, vision and dental information for children. Plus, you get into the museum FREE from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.(only) during the Health Fair.
