Community Calendar

This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

Ceramics teach a number of valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to come play on the clay wheel and learn how to use this fun tool to create functional and decorative pieces, or join in on the fun and make some ceramic pieces of your own! The whole family is welcome!

We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing each week, so sign your kids up for multiple sessions to give them the full experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves.
