Four Things You Should Know About The Mexican Consulate In Boise

The Mexican Consulate in Boise opened in 2009.  It serves people throughout Idaho, Montana, Northern Nevada, and Eastern Oregon.  It’s the 49th Mexican Consulate to open in the United States.  Before it opened, Idaho and Montana were served by the Mexican Consulate in Salt Lake City.

Mexican nationals can get passports and other consular services there.  It also provides health advice and educational programs to all Idahoans, and sponsors cultural events like the Casasola Archives exhibit and celebrations marking  Cinco de Mayo, Mexican Independence Day, and Dia de los Muertos.

The office also fosters trade and investment ties between Idaho, Montana, and Mexico.

The Consulate is located between Park Boulevard and Parkcenter on Morrison Knudsen Plaza Lane.  The office faces Parkcenter Boulevard.  Although not open to the public, the hallways of the Consulate are filled with photographs from the Casasola Archives.
