Sure it's been warm and balmy today throughout much of Idaho with highs in the 80s. But tomorrow, you'll be grabbing a jacket as you head out the door for work.
A cold front is moving into Idaho tonight which will push daytime highs Tuesday into the 50s. It's also will bring strong winds, rain, and hail. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for southwest Idaho and eastern Oregon that will stay in place until midnight. This strong cold front will bring thunderstorms and winds of up to 60 mph later this evening.
A wind advisory is also in effect for parts of the Treasure Valley and Southern Oregon. These high winds have prompted a Red Flag Warning for the Treasure Valley and the Owyhee Mountains. This means conditions are perfect for wildfires.
