Ada County Commissioner Dave Case grilled executives from Dynamis Energy Friday morning. The Eagle-based company wants to build a plant at the Ada County landfill that would turn trash and tires into electricity. Case, though, failed in his attempt to bring an end to the county’s contract with Dynamis.
The Ada County Commission’s meeting on Dynamis brought to mind a small-scale Congressional investigation. Newly-appointed Commissioner Dave Case fired questions at company executives, who struggled at times to come up with definitive answers.
Carmen Harm of Hidden Springs attended the meeting with dozens of others. "I’m not satisfied with those answers," says Harm. "I feel if you follow the money trail, you’ll figure out what this project is really about."
Case says the answers didn't satisfy him, either. He proposed an end to the county’s deal with Dynamis for breach of contract.
Case believes a new project deadline was never formally approved, but, in a 2-1 vote, fellow commissioners chose to keep the project moving forward.
