Rosanne Cash and John Leventhal have been musical collaborators and spouses since the mid-'90s, and somehow, it's always worked.

"I love working with him," Cash says. "It's the ultimate romance to me."

Cash and Leventhal join host Michael Feinstein on this episode of Song Travels to talk about their journey to the South to gather inspiration for their latest album, The River & The Thread. Performances include their original music, as well as a stirring cover of Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billie Joe."
