Why We're Excited: Remember the summer of 2017, when it seemed like the only songs on pop radio were Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like" and Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You"? Nick Wayne's "I've Got You Now" sounds like one of those songs — not exactly like them, mind you, but like the kind of song that keeps accumulating popularity until it seems to be imprinted on the wind. Call it soul, or pop, or country, or folk — it's a little of all four, really — but its true genre sounds like "hit."
