The Idaho Legislature’s budget committee has been working hard this week, passing several bills. One of those will fund Medicaid and Medicaid expansion, which was approved by voters last November.

But Boise State Political Science Professor Gary Moncrief tells Samantha Wright that doesn’t mean it’s a done deal.

Gary and Samantha have a podcast called “Legislative Breakdown.” They pick apart the Idaho Legislature each week to find out how it affects YOU — and this week they talk to the head of the Idaho Department of Agriculture.

Find “Legislative Breakdown” in the NPR One app.

As Senior Producer of our live daily talk show Idaho Matters, I’m able to indulge my love of storytelling and share all kinds of information (I was probably a Town Crier in a past life!). My career has allowed me to learn something new everyday and to share that knowledge with all my friends on the radio.

You make stories like this possible.

The biggest portion of Boise State Public Radio's funding comes from readers like you who value fact-based journalism and trustworthy information.
