Bogus Basin has announced the hiring of its next general manager. Brad Wilson will begin work on November 9. His selection was announced Monday afternoon by the Bogus Basin board of directors.

Wilson replaces former president and general manager Alan Moore, who retired at the end of the February.

Wilson brings to Boise several decades’ worth of experience in the ski and resort industry.

Brad Wilson has over thirty years of experience in management, marketing, sales, and master planning within the ski and hospitality industry. Wilson was the General Manager of Diamond Peak Ski Resort at Lake Tahoe. Wilson has also worked as the president and COO of Catalina Island Resort Services, Director of Marketing at Alpine Meadows, Assistant General Manager at Mountain High Resort, as well as lead marketing roles at Sugarbush, Bear Mountain, and Brian Head resorts.” -Bogus Basin news release

Brian Ellsworth, the president of the Bogus Basin board, said the region is “lucky” to have Wilson moving to the area.

“I am honored to be chosen to follow in the footsteps of several distinguished leaders at Bogus Basin,” Wilson says. “This is a great place and a great area. Bogus Basin has a rich history and some unique opportunities for growth and improvement. There is a lot of very positive energy building throughout the Valley for Bogus Basin. I am looking forward to some really fun times coming up.”

Wilson will become the ski mountain’s seventh general manager.
