Transmitter Failure in Sun Valley

At 2pm Sunday Nov. 3, the transmitter for KBSS 91.1 in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area went off-air.

Remote attempts to restore operation have failed.   There is no backup transmitter at this site since the main transmitter failed in February 2019 and is basically un-repairable and has not been replaced.  We have been operating on the backup transmitter since that time.

Engineering staff will be on site as early as possible to attempt restoration of this site.

This outage affects KBSS 91.1 MHz as well as the translator K262BZ 100.3MHz which is fed by KBSS.

- Edit - Idaho Power is reporting a power outage in the area, which could be the cause for this outage.

-edit 2 - Utility power was restored, and KBSS 91.1 is back on-air at 4:09PM.
