Community Calendar

This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

Ceramics teach a number of a valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to come and play with clay and learn how to use this fun medium to create functional and decorative pieces.

We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing each week, so sign your kids up for multiple sessions to give them the full experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves. Ceramic artists and experienced teachers, Mindy Curran & Ben Alexander, will facilitate this class.

Register now for the FREE Family Advocates, Family Resiliency Course. A course aimed at reducing stress in families and encouraging healthy bonds. Recipients receive a certificate of graduation for successful course completion.
This course will occur every Wednesday from July 13 - September 14, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, at Caldwell Church of Christ.
Includes: Children's Programming, Sack Meal, Resources, and Transportation Options.
