Jeanette DeDios is Jicarilla Apache and Diné and reports for KUNM radio in Albuquerque. Our Living Lands Producer Daniel Spaulding spoke to DeDios about issues facing Indigenous communities in New Mexico.

“I wouldn't continue being a journalist if I couldn't cover Indigenous issues because that's really the heart of it for me,” DeDios said.

I joined Boise State Public Radio as the Indigenous Affairs Reporter and Producer for Our Living Lands, a weekly radio show that focuses on climate change and its impact on Indigenous communities. It is a collaboration between the Mountain West News Bureau, Native Public Media and Koahnic Broadcast Corporation.
