This week, we're bringing you a series of stories on refugees in Boise. The public radio show "The World" sent reporter Jason Margolis to Idaho to learn more about how refugees are making a go of it in the city. The three reports are part of PRI's "Global Nation," a program that tells real-world stories of immigrants in the United States.

In his first story on refugees in Idaho, Margolis focuses on an important police liason between local police and some of Boise's newest residents.

The second report introduces us to the woman who became Idaho's first Syrian refugee, and the ups and downs she's faced while adjusting to her new life in Boise.

The final story by Margolis looks into a retraining program in Boise that connects refugees with jobs.

These stories will air Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during Morning Edition on KBSX 91.5 FM.
