The seventh annual Treefort Music Fest has announced their first round of artists set to play the March 21-25 festival.
According to festival director Eric Gilbert, the curation this year is about exploring new sounds and celebrating Boise’s music history. In an early '90s Boise rock throwback, Treepeople has signed on to play alongside newer acts like Lido Pimienta.

Past attendees will recognize hip hop artist Oddissee high on the billing. Gilbert says he’s bringing his full band this time around, and is in conversation with the festival about doing more than just playing one show.
“There’s a lot more of talking to artists who want to come and embed themselves for longer,” says Gilbert. “In this early phase, a lot of this has been built around that. Sort of – who wants to come and be part of a broader conversation [and] play multiple times.”
But Gilbert cautions that the lineup is just beginning to take shape: There will be two more announcements with some headlining and emerging artists before March rolls around.
And with this artist announcement comes a ticket increase. The standard five-day passes increased $20 with Thursday’s announcement, and now cost $175. They’ll increase to $195 after March 1, the “Bed Head Pass” price.
