Part 1: Three Mountain West States Don't Have A Traditional Insanity Defense —That Could Change Soon

Most states in the U.S. have a traditional insanity defense. It’s not used very often - less than 1-percent of felony defendants. But four states don't have it at all.  And three of those are right here in our region. But as the Mountain West News Bureau’s Madelyn Beck reports in a two part series, a Supreme Court case could change things.
