Skiers and snowboarders rejoiced, but a significant snowfall triggered some white-knuckle driving in the higher elevations of southern Idaho this past weekend. Mountain communities were measuring snow by the feet, while valley floors saw a few inches of snow, prompting more than a few families in cities to go sledding in a park or build the season's first snowman.
Morning Edition host spoke with Warning Coordination Meteorologist Jay Briedenbach at the Boise office of the National Weather Service who said more snow was on the way.
