COVID-19 Fears Cancel Sun Valley Film Festival

The Sun Valley Film Festival has been cancelled for 2020. Organizers say they are looking to next year's festival, which will be its 10-year anniversary.

After saying the show would go on yesterday, the Sun Valley Film Festival has announced it is cancelling this year’s event due to widening concerns around the Coronavirus.

“The health and safety of our community and all of our participants is our top priority and we know this is the right and responsible decision,” said the festival’s executive director, Teddy Grennan.

The festival was scheduled for March 18-22 and brings in more than $5 million of economic impact to the community, according to the press release.

Festival organizers have not said anything for passholder refunds, but said they are working out next steps.
