This election cycle, we’re asking people about what issues matter to them for their vote on Nov. 5. Reporters Jaxon Holmes and Sofia Blenkinsop were on the ground at Boise Pride this weekend talking to Treasure Valley residents, including Tia Finney-Sadler, Bill Black, Jeff Tauge, Samantha Koenig, and Angie (who declined to use her last name).

I joined Boise State Public Radio in 2023 and have since covered everything from fireworks to Christmas trees during my time as an intern. Whether it’s drafting interview questions or editing soundbites, I love diving into each and every part of the journalistic storytelling process.
I am a sophomore at Boise State University studying Communication and Political Science. I am a member of the Boise State Talkin’ Broncos and am currently serving as the vice president. Speech and Debate has instilled in me a passion for communicating complex ideas and has been a driving force behind my passion for journalism.
