Boise business Balsam Hill is best known for its highly realistic artificial Christmas trees.

Every year the company delivers tens of thousands of Christmas trees and decor to customers around the country. Normally this time of year employees would be busy planning for the second half of the year. Now, they're pivoting to help home-bound folks get food delivered.

However, with all of the company’s employees working from home, they have extra capacity and want to do more to help others struggling with COVID-19 restrictions. They've partnered with restaurant suppliers to send food to folks who can't leave their homes because of the coronavirus. Mac Harman is the CEO of Balsam Hill and joins Idaho Matters to talk about his company’s plan do help out.

As COVID-19 cases spread through the U.S. and Idaho, we’re committed to keeping you updated and informed. You can get updated info on cases, closures and how to stay healthy at any time on our Coronavirus news blog.
