Jonathan Evison's "Lawn Boy" Is A Coming-Of-Age Story About Class Distinctions

Jonathan Evison is a writer whose work frequently appears on the New York Times bestseller list.

In his latest novel, Evison tells the story of Mike Muñoz, a young Chicano living in Washington with a meager education in his rearview mirror and a lifetime of menial labor ahead of him. But Mike wants more. A powerful story about cultural rifts and class distinctions, Lawn Boy is a vibrant coming-of-age novel about the pursuit of the American dream.

Jonathan Evison is the author of four novels, including All About Lulu, West of Here and This Is Your Life, Harriet Chance! He last appeared on Reader’s Corner in 2015 to talk about his bestselling novel, The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving.
