"Into The Jungle" By Erica Ferencik

This is an encore presentation.

In Erica Ferencik’s hypnotic, violent, and unsparing thriller -- named by the New York Times Book Review as one of the Summer 2019’s Best Thrillers -- a young woman leaves behind everything she knows to take on the Bolivian jungle, but her excursion abroad quickly turns into a fight for her life.

To survive, Lily must navigate the jungle — its wonders as well as its terrors — using only her wits and resilience. Primal, gripping, and often terrifying, Into the Jungle features Erica Ferencik’s signature “visceral, white-knuckle” prose.

Erica Ferencik is a graduate of the MFA program in creative writing at Boston University. Her work has appeared in Salon and The Boston Globe, as well as on NPR. She is also the author of The River at Night, a #1 Oprah Winfrey pick, which Miramax is now adapting for the big screen.
