Fly Sun Valley Alliance, a nonprofit organization, has announced the flight schedule for the 2019/2020 season, which includes more daily flights from Seattle and Chicago.

Sun Valley is increasing air service to the Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey for the upcoming holiday season. The nonprofit leading the expansion, Fly Sun Valley Alliance, says it's in preparation for Sun Valley Resort joining theEpic ski pass group.

Pass holders have access to some of the most high profile ski resorts in the country and across the world, like Vail, Colorado, Whistler, B.C. and Park City, Utah. Until last year, the resort was part of the Mountain Collective.

Some notable additions to this year's schedule are more daily flights to two hubs — Seattle and Chicago, says Director of Fly Sun Valley Alliance Carol Waller.

Waller says Seattle is a notable Epic Pass market, and more flights to and from Chicago will mean more accessibility for east coast skiers. The hope is, Waller says, that joining the Epic Pass will bring in visitors from all over the country.

Fly Sun Valley Alliance’s development work is funded by private groups like the Sun Valley Resort and a 1% local option tax.
