Commons Climbing in Boise, Idaho readies for their first day of reopening on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

Businesses are beginning to open up again in Idaho, even as new cases of COVID-19 continue to appear. And as this happens, we are all having to figure out what we’re comfortable with doing in this new world. One highly anticipated reopening? Gyms.

But with shared equipment and heavy respirations from exercise, how can we keep ourselves safe? That’s exactly what health club owners across the state, country, and world are trying to figure out. Joining Idaho Matters live today are Matt McCarter, the VP of the Treasure Valley YMCA, and Clint Colwell, a founder of the Commons Climbing Gym in Boise.

As COVID-19 cases spread through the U.S. and Idaho, we’re committed to keeping you updated and informed. You can get updated info on cases, closures and how to stay healthy at any time on our Coronavirus news blog.
