Boise State Public Radio's newsroom took home two first place awards in the national Public Radio News Directors Inc.'s (PRNDI) annual contest.
Entries from Boise State Public Radio were judged alongside other public radio stations of similar size, those are mid-sized newsrooms with four to seven full-time reporters.
"Winning a professional award is an honor for our newsroom," says news director Scott Graf. "And these awards show once again that Boise State Public Radio continues to provide listeners with exceptional reporting on the radio and online."
Digital content coordinator and journalist Emilie Ritter Saunders won first place in the multi-media category for her 2013 story explaining why Idaho moms might be more likely to breastfeed than moms in other states.
Former news director Sadie Babits took first in the spot news category for her story on the horseback riders who tipped off law enforcement on possibly spotting a California teen who was abducted into the Frank Church Wilderness.
