It’s that time of year again … time for Treefort Music Fest to take over Boise! The festival runs March 20-24 at venues throughout downtown. But it’s not just about music – the festival offers something for just about everyone in the form of “mini forts.” Boise State Public Radio is proud to once again sponsor of Storyfort, the literary portion of the festival.

NPR’S KIRK SIEGLER – LIFE IN PARADISE AFTER THE FIRE: Thursday, March 21, noon at The Owyhee Ballroom (1109 W Main St., Boise, ID 83702). Reporter Kirk Siegler will be at Storyfort in downtown Boise to go behind-the-scenes of his continuing coverage of the Camp Fire aftermath in Paradise, Calif. He’ll share what it’s like to cover wildfires and natural disasters in a rapidly-changing climate in states including Idaho, and will take questions from the audience. WHY PODCASTING SUCKS & WHY WE STILL LOVE IT: Thursday, March 21, 7:00 p.m. at the Owyhee Ballroom (1109 W Main St., Boise, ID 83702). Podcasts are sexy. At least, it’s sexy to start a podcast. But what does it take to sustain a podcast? What are the pitfalls that come with the medium, and how can fledgling podcasters avoid them?
