Organizers of Treefort Music Fest rolled out their third and final band announcement Friday morning, and it's a doozy of a list. The annual live music festival will go down at multiple venues in downtown Boise March 25-29.
This announcement includes more than 220 bands, bringing the total to around 350. One of the notable acts on the list is BADBADNOTGOOD, an instrumental jazz/hip-hop trio from Toronto. The group has collaborated with some of rap's biggest names, including Ghostface Killah and Tyler, The Creator.
As always, Treefort is highlighting a number of local bands, including Americana favorites Hillfolk Noir. The festival bills itself as a place to discover music -- both for Boise music fans and the people who'll come from out-of-state to check out the town's thriving music scene.
Festival organizers are celebrating the official start of Treefort season with their annual launch party show this Saturday at the El Korah Shrine. Seattle band Deep Sea Diver will headline the event, and it will give Treefort fans a sneak peak at the other genres involved in the ever-growing festival.
Ticket sales for the launch party will benefit the Boise Hive, a mental health resource for artists.
Tickets for the five-day festival in March are $139, but will increase to $159 on March 1.
Toronto trio BADBADNOTGOOD will perform at Boise's annual indie music festival.
