Second Announcement Of Treefort Musicians For 2018 Festival Is Here

Treefort Music Fest
The seventh annual Treefort Music Fest is scheduled for March 21-25.

Treefort Music Fest is bringing the heat in 2018 with some empowering female voices in the indie rap and R&B scene.

The Boise festival's second artist announcement put NYC-based rapper Princess Nokia at the top of the bill, an artist whose tomboy attitude pulsates through her beats (check out her track by that name here).

The Princess is in good company next to Rapsody — the Roc Nation-signed emcee was the only other artist featured on Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp a Butterfly." Poetry-trained and Chicago musician Jamila Woods is also coming to the festival, on the heels of her debut album HEAVN with collaborators like Chance the Rapper.

Check out Jamila Woods' video for Blk Girl Soldier.

Also of note is the female-fronted rock group The Regrettes (who do not seem like a regret to see live) and Canadian duo Milk & Bone. Thissecond artist announcement brings the list of bands to about 200, with more to be added.

Five-day tickets still cost $175, but will increase to $195 March 1.

Check out a live set with Milk & Bone below.
