Join Preservation Idaho every Saturday in downtown Boise for an approximately 90-minute guided walking tour through 150 years of history and architecture. Let us introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place.
Explore the heart of Idaho's capital city through captivating stories, iconic landmarks, and hidden gems. Join Preservation Idaho’s experienced docents for a 90-minute guided tour through 150 years of history and architecture. They will introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place.
From Basque sheepherders to political power players and local sandstone to Egyptian hieroglyphs, this tour makes Boise history come alive.
Tours take place every Saturday at 10 AM, starting on May 18th and continuing through November 23rd, beginning and ending in front of the Basque Museum and Cultural Center on Grove Street in downtown Boise.
Tickets: Purchase your tickets in advance online at https://ci.ovationtix.com/34774/production/1197256 and by clicking on your desired date on the event calendar or by calling (208) 424-5111. Walk-ups the day of are welcome if there is room (exact cash or check only).
Cost: $10 for Preservation Idaho members, $15 for non-members, $8 for children 13 and under (credit card processing fees apply).

Tour details: These walking tours will be held rain or shine, so please plan and dress accordingly with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, an umbrella if needed for sun or rain, and a bottle of water. Tours will start promptly at 10 AM and end around 11:30 AM.

Gallery Fifty-Five is sponsoring the 20th annual Art in the Plaza Show (formerly known as Art in the Courtyard) this August. The show with over 30 artists will take place in the stage area next to Hotel McCall, called the Depot Plaza, on Friday – Sunday, August 28-30. Show times are Friday 3 pm - 7 pm, Saturday 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday 10 am – 4 pm. Live music is provided by local bands BRAID and Open Range, guitar and song duo Catfish D'Grey, Davis French and Johnny Shoes with Jen Pisano. Admission is free.
