In this hands-on, 2-hour Creating Animal Masks workshop, kids ages 8–13 will dive into the imaginative world of mask-making while learning the basics of felting and creative construction. Starting with a pre-made cardboard cat mask, students will transform their base into the animal or mythical creature of their choice—customizing it with added features like ears, horns, snouts, or whiskers using cardboard, felt, fur, and other materials. Along the way, they’ll develop crafting skills, practice creative problem-solving, and bring their unique vision to life with colors, textures, and final decorative touches. This session is a great opportunity for kids to explore their creativity, learn new techniques, and walk away with a mask that’s entirely their own.
