Gear up for a whirlwind of fun with our energetic storytime! It's a perfect blend of captivating stories, toe-tapping tunes, groovy moves, and loads of learning! After storytime we will dive into 30 minutes of open play.

The Boise Women’s Art Group is a monthly, in-person gathering created for women who want a welcoming, supportive space to explore creativity, connection, and self-expression through art. No pressure. No judgment. Let’s create something meaningful together!

- Come meet your community with an in-person guided art project with an amazing group of women.
- Collage and paint a wood panel utilizing provided vintage papers and acrylic paints. All art materials included.

ABOUT YOUR HOST:

Danica Factor is a local artist based in the Boise area. Her artist journey began in 2018. She started an art practice as a way to heal from childhood emotional trauma and found a deep love for creativity and helping others find their way back to themselves through art.

Danica has showcased her work at a number of art shows in Idaho and is a member of the Art Source Gallery. Her work has also been featured in Arts to Hearts Magazine, Art & Soul of the Magic Valley, the local Channel 7 News and shown at countless exhibits across the state.

This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

Every Saturday, you can meet the producers themselves and feel confident you are buying from someone who actually knows the product they sell. We are open from mid-April to mid-December, and are proud to provide locals and tourists alike the chance to eat fresh, shop small, and experience dynamic Downtown Boise

Ceramics teach a number of a valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to come and play with clay and learn how to use this fun medium to create functional and decorative pieces.

We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing each week, so sign your kids up for multiple sessions to give them the full experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves. Ceramic artists and experienced teachers, Mindy Curran & Ben Alexander, will facilitate this class.
