This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

You're invited to share a secret (anonymously) and hear everyone else's. Doesn't that sound fun?

This Show is hosted by Krystal Moore and features a fresh new (top secret) lineup of comedy, drag, burlesque, mime, clown, improv, and more on the 4th Friday every month.

This year, I will be collecting and distributing food at all of my shows, so if you're coming to one and have more than you need, bring something to donate. If you have less than you need, please come to a show, on me, and take what's been donated. It's hard to smile when you're hungry, but you'll need your smile in the resistance. Join Preservation Idaho every Saturday in downtown Boise for an approximately 90-minute guided walking tour through 150 years of history and architecture. Let us introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place.

Explore the heart of Idaho's capital city through captivating stories, iconic landmarks, and hidden gems. Join Preservation Idaho’s experienced docents for a 90-minute guided tour through 150 years of history and architecture. They will introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place.

From Basque sheepherders to political power players and local sandstone to Egyptian hieroglyphs, this tour makes Boise history come alive.

Tours take place every Saturday at 10 AM, starting on May 18th and continuing through November 23rd, beginning and ending in front of the Basque Museum and Cultural Center on Grove Street in downtown Boise.

Tour details: These walking tours will be held rain or shine, so please plan and dress accordingly with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, an umbrella if needed for sun or rain, and a bottle of water. Tours will start promptly at 10 AM and end around 11:30 AM.

Ceramics teach a number of a valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to come and play with clay and learn how to use this fun medium to create functional and decorative pieces.

We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing each week, so sign your kids up for multiple sessions to give them the full experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves. Ceramic artists and experienced teachers, Mindy Curran & Ben Alexander, will facilitate this class.

COSMA-CON: Day Zero is a one-day convention and music festival hybrid with lots of FREE interactive fan experiences, focused on Creators, Originators, Storytellers, Makers, and Artists. The event will feature celebrity and community panels, curated vendors and exhibitors, live large and up and coming local and national musical performances.
