- Melissa Davlin guest hosts this week’s edition of the Reporter Roundtable featuring Scott McIntosh of the Idaho Statesman, Rebecca Boone with the AP, Heath Druzin of Boise State Public Radio and Guns & America.

- Dr. Ray Jayawardhana, a professor of astronomy at Cornell University, is coming to Boise State University to talk about exoplanets. He joins Idaho Matters to preview his lecture at Boise State and to teach about the fascinating subjects he has been studying.

- The Death Rattle Writers Fest is in its sixth year. The Treasure Valley-based literary festival, which embraces under-represented groups including LGBTQ youth, will take over downtown Nampa venues through this weekend. We talk with two of the founders about this year's event.
