Coronavirus Pandemic Strains Idaho Kids' Mental Health

Even though COVID-19 seems to be not affecting children’s bodies as much as it is adults, the disease is not being so kind to children’s minds. No one is immune to the stress that comes with a pandemic and related quarantining. However, many mental health experts believe children may be at a particular risk.

Think about it: kids already live in a universe that is out of their control, and they can become especially shaken when the things they count on to give their world order are blown to bits.

Joining Idaho Matters today to talk more about this is Dr. Paula Griffith, a child and adolescent psychiatrist with St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Services in Twin Falls.

As COVID-19 cases spread through the U.S. and Idaho, we’re committed to keeping you updated and informed. You can get updated info on cases, closures and how to stay healthy at any time on our Coronavirus news blog.
