Ensuring Bilingual Idaho Kids Aren't Left Behind After The Pandemic

Learning to read is a foundational skill critical to success in school and life. Idaho’s Lee Pesky Learning Center created a pilot program to address students with bilingual learning needs at risk of being left behind as the pandemic altered education this year.

The program, called Pathways to Literacy, is meant to support beginning readers who are latinx and english learners.

Today’s guests:

  • Evelyn Johnson, CEO, Lee Pesky Learning Center
  • Jack Johnson, program tutor
  • Maria Aguilar, parent of enrolled student
