How A New Boise School Helps Empower Teen Parents

There’s a new school for pregnant and parenting teens in the Treasure Valley. The school is partnering with the Salvation Army to make sure these students in Boise get the support they need to earn their high school diploma.

Idaho Matters learns more about the Cardinal Academy from Emily Bergstrom, Executive Director of the school and Danielle Hansen with the Salvation Army.

Gemma is the host of Idaho Matters, Boise State Public Radio's daily show which broadcasts live Monday-Friday at noon. She is an award-winning journalist and has spent the majority of her broadcasting career in Idaho. Gemma was a television news anchor and reporter in Boise for close to 15 years. She came to Boise in 1999 to start Fox 12.
