Join us for the Opening Reception of Florilegium, a solo exhibition by New York-based artist Emily Farish on Thursday, April 2 at Idaho Art Gallery in downtown Boise.
Farish is widely recognized for her monumental charcoal drawings of flowers, transforming fleeting botanical subjects into powerful, large-scale compositions.
The exhibition's title, Florilegium - the Latin word for "gathering of flowers" - reflects both the act of collecting these blooms and the accumulation of looking, remembering, and drawing that defines Farish's practice.
Farish's work has been exhibited widely and recently gained national attention with a feature in The New York Times, further highlighting her distinctive contribution to contemporary drawing.
Join us for art, conversation, and community in the heart of downtown Boise.

This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.
