ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Danica Factor is a local artist based in the Boise area. Her artist journey began in 2018. She started an art practice as a way to heal from childhood emotional trauma and found a deep love for creativity and helping others find their way back to themselves through art.
Danica has showcased her work at a number of art shows in Idaho and is a member of the Art Source Gallery. Her work has also been featured in Arts to Hearts Magazine, Art & Soul of the Magic Valley, the local Channel 7 News and shown at countless exhibits across the state.

This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

Let us introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place.
Explore the heart of Idaho's capital city through captivating stories, iconic landmarks, and hidden gems. Join Preservation Idaho’s experienced docents for a 90-minute guided tour through 150 years of history and architecture. They will introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place.
From Basque sheepherders to political power players and local sandstone to Egyptian hieroglyphs, this tour makes Boise history come alive.
Tours take place every Saturday at 10 AM, starting on May 18th and continuing through November 23rd, beginning and ending in front of the Basque Museum and Cultural Center on Grove Street in downtown Boise.

Cost: $10 for Preservation Idaho members, $15 for non-members, $8 for children 13 and under (credit card processing fees apply).

Tour details: These walking tours will be held rain or shine, so please plan and dress accordingly with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, an umbrella if needed for sun or rain, and a bottle of water. Tours will start promptly at 10 AM and end around 11:30 AM.
