During the last legislative session Democratic Representative Melissa Wintrow proposed a bill that was aimed at preventing children under 16 from getting married and would require consent of the child, parents, and a court before a marriage would happen. The House of Representatives voted against the legislation and the bill failed. But she continues to keep the issue in the forefront and joins Idaho Matters to talk about her efforts.
