  • It's Boise Startup Week!
  • New data on kids in poverty.
  • Finding humor after leaving the Mormon Church.
  • The Idaho Falls Museum is expanding.

- Boise Startup Week has provided an opportunity for new Idaho businesses to interact, exchange ideas, and meet with potential investors. We'll talk with a founder and a featured speaker of the annual showcase, which kicks off in downtown Boise Oct. 7.

- Living in a community of concentrated poverty — that is, a neighborhood where 30% or more of the population is living in poverty — is one of the biggest threats to stunt youth development. Idaho Matters speaks to the policy director of Idaho Voices for Children for more on the latest data on child poverty.

- What happens when you leave the Mormon Church? Comedian Krystal Moore is a former-Mormon and has created a comedy show for folks who have left the church. She talks to Idaho Matters about her comedy, the support she's received, and how she balances humor and compassion.

- The Idaho Falls Museum re-opened Sept. 28, with close to double the original space. Find out how the new complex is tailored to educate everyone on the history of the Gem State and future plans for the exhibits.
