- Higher education spending in Idaho is lower than the national average. We talk with Idaho EdNews reporter Kevin Richert about a new study that outlines the Gem State's rankings among other states.

- Welcome to Night Vale is one of the most well-known fiction podcasts in the space. The creators will be in Boise for a live show November 2, and in advance of their visit Idaho Matters will catch up with one of the show's creators.

- An interdisciplinary group of researchers have begun studying resiliency in Boise's refugee community. How are they doing this work? In part, by testing the cortisol levels in young people displaced from central Africa. We'll talk with them as they continue their research.
