  • Boise nonprofit needs bike donations.
  • Surveying Treasure Valley residents.
  • Saving the Sockeye Salmon...with socks!

- For years, the Boise Bicycle Project has helped underprivilaged kids experience the joy of getting a bike.  Folks reach out to the nonprofit to get a bike under their tree for the kid in their family. This year, the demand has exceeded their supply. We talk with an organizer about how you can help fill the two-wheeled need.

- Treasure Valley residents identified rapid growth as a key issue in a survey released a couple of weeks ago by Boise State University. Idaho Matters talks with the researchers behind the survey about what the data say about residents' concerns when it comes to the economy, education, transportation and quality of life.

- In Idaho 5th grade classs, students learn about the life cycle of fish and the environmental issues disrupting natural species. The process caught the attention of one curious student who decided to make it his mission to save sockeye salmon. We catch up with the now 6th grader about his sock company, where all the proceeds go towards saving the iconic fish.
