The Nez Perce reservation in the north-central part of the state is a tight knit community, though it covers four counties. Now, they’re doing their best to protect one another during a time of social distancing. The reservation reported their first confirmed cases of COVID-19 in May. But beyond the physical health of tribal members, there’s also a need to take care of the mental health of the community.

That’s where our Myra Campbell comes in. She’s a therapist at Nimipuu Health Clinic and a registered member of the Nez Perce tribe. She joins Idaho Matters live by Zoom.

As COVID-19 cases spread through the U.S. and Idaho, we’re committed to keeping you updated and informed. You can get updated info on cases, closures and how to stay healthy at any time on our Coronavirus news blog.
