On Friday, Sept. 11, the Community Library will stream “Apache 8” free at 6 p.m. followed by a discussion with Tracy Andrus, Director of the Andrus Center for Public Policy at BSU, with firefighter Katy Aday, subject of the film and director Sande Zeig.";s:

Thirteen years ago, a new film festival tradition began in our own Sun Valley, Idaho. And since then, every year the ‘Family of Woman' film festival has highlighted inspiring films about women’s issues from all over the world.

In partnership with the United Nations group that deals with women’s rights, this festival is now in it’s thirteenth year and for the first time — because of COVID-19 — will be fully remote.

Festival director Peggy Goldwyn joins Idaho Matters live right now to talk about the films highlighted in this year’s fest and the logistics of hosting a virtual film festival
