Canyon County Organization Works To Inspire Hope And Positivity In Idaho Kids

Adam Cotterell

Data show that Idaho ranks ahead of most of the U.S. when it comes to children experiencing two or more adverse childhood experiences. Experiencing or being exposed to things like physical or verbal abuse, neglect and mental illness can create real challenges for kids as they grow into adulthood. In southwest Idaho we know there are children right here in our community who are hurting, and they need to know there is hope.

And that is the mission behind a new nonprofit in Canyon County called 2C Kids Succeed, founded by Jean Mutchie. She's our guest today on Idaho Matters along with Chris Fonesca and Trent Rawdan who are helping support a week of events and community experiences to support young people.
