As our state continues to deal with a surge of COVID-19 cases, Idaho doctors are seeing alarming trends tied to COVID-19 cases in pregnant women—including maternal deaths, increase incidences of stillbirth and neonatal intensive care unit patients that are sicker than usual.

Idaho Matters is joined by Dr. Stacy Seyb, who works at St. Luke's Magic Valley as a specialist in high risk pregnancies.

Gemma is the host of Idaho Matters, Boise State Public Radio's daily show which broadcasts live Monday-Friday at noon. She is an award-winning journalist and has spent the majority of her broadcasting career in Idaho. Gemma was a television news anchor and reporter in Boise for close to 15 years. She came to Boise in 1999 to start Fox 12.
