The Friends of the Garden City Public Library will hold its Fall Book Sale, September 9th-12th, in the Garden City Hall Chamber Room, 6015 N. Glenwood Street. The Sale includes books of all genres, CDs and DVDs, puzzles, and a large collection of specially selected books on Idaho! The Book Sale is Tuesday, September 9th, 2pm-7pm, Wednesday 10th, 10am-5pm, Thursday 11th, 10am-5pm, and on Friday the 12th, 10am-2pm.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the GCPL. All proceeds from the Sale benefit the Garden City Public Library.

Sunday, August 10, The Barber Co. in Garden City will be giving out free haircuts and school supplies from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Any child in K-12 is welcome to drop in for a free cut and to get their backpack filled with school supplies. There will also be food vendors, a DJ, and a bounce house.
This is the third year in a row The Barber Co. has generously provided the haircuts and supplies at no charge. The shop is located at 9225 W Chinden Blvd. in Garden City.

The 3rd Street Market kicks off on April 23rd and continues every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at Nampa Civic Center’s Calliope Garden from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

At the South Meridian Market, we celebrate community by connecting residents with local small businesses, farms, and entrepreneurs. In the heart of Pinnacle, residents will be able to discover products that have been crafted, developed, or raised by people in the community while also enjoying a vibrant atmosphere with live music and entertainment. We aim to be more than just another market; we are creating Great Places where connections are made.

This course will occur every Thursday from July 14 - August 11, 10 AM - 11 AM, at Family Advocates.
Topics include: Overcoming Famous Failures, Self-Care That Works For You, Boundary Setting Practices, and Meditation Activities for Mindfulness.

Join the community and Mission43 for a moving tribute to the heroes of September 11, 2001, with the 9/11 Miles of Remembrance Run. This event is more than just a 5K—it's a communal expression of remembrance and resilience. The run is designed to include participants of all physical abilities, from avid runners to families with strollers, ensuring everyone can participate. Starting with a poignant opening ceremony at 5:00 PM, the run will proceed along the beautiful Boise River Greenbelt. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy a vibrant gathering with food vendors, beer gardens, and live entertainment, creating a memorable evening of community spirit and remembrance.
