The Friends of the Garden City Public Library will hold its Fall Book Sale, September 9th-12th, in the Garden City Hall Chamber Room, 6015 N. Glenwood Street. The Sale includes books of all genres, CDs and DVDs, puzzles, and a large collection of specially selected books on Idaho! The Book Sale is Tuesday, September 9th, 2pm-7pm, Wednesday 10th, 10am-5pm, Thursday 11th, 10am-5pm, and on Friday the 12th, 10am-2pm.The event is sponsored by the Friends of the GCPL. All proceeds from the Sale benefit the Garden City Public Library.
Sunday, August 10, The Barber Co. in Garden City will be giving out free haircuts and school supplies from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Any child in K-12 is welcome to drop in for a free cut and to get their backpack filled with school supplies. There will also be food vendors, a DJ, and a bounce house.This is the third year in a row The Barber Co. has generously provided the haircuts and supplies at no charge. The shop is located at 9225 W Chinden Blvd. in Garden City.
