Ceramics teach a number of a valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to come and play with clay and learn how to use this fun medium to create functional and decorative pieces.
We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing each week, so sign your kids up for multiple sessions to give them the full experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves. Ceramic artists and experienced teachers, Mindy Curran & Ben Alexander, will facilitate this class.

Grab a hall pass and head to this stand-up showcase, which offers a NSFW take on classroom dynamics relayed by real-life educators and funny folks Todd Basil, Tina Hogstrom, Naomi Fitter and Katie Nguyen (along with some special guests and surprises!). The Teacher Show, created and hosted by Don Gavitte, has been described as a "solution for teacher burnout" by NPR and a "must see" byWillamette Week. All ages welcome but expect strong content that will not be suitable for building administrators and/or helicopter parents.The Lounge has a 2 Drink minimum but, don't worry, we have LOTS of options both with and without alcohol.
